 Statins have emerged as first line treatment in management of patients with coronary artery disease. Inspite of treatment with statins, patients continue to have higher incidence of recurrent cardiovascular events. So there has been a continuous search for newer targets and better drugs. Recently few trials have been published that hold promise in our fight against cardiovascular disease.
