Prof J.C. Mohan is currently Chairman of the Institute of Heart and Vascular Diseases at Jaipur Golden Hospital, Rohini, New Delhi, India. He also holds the honorary post of President of the  Indian Society of Interventional Cardiology.  His last Academic Affiliation was as Full Professor of Cardiology at the University of Delhi, India

He  was  previously   Director and Chief of Interventional Cardiology at Ridge Heart Centre, Sunder Lal Jain Hospital, New Delhi , Metro  Hospitals and Heart Institute, Lajpat Nagar, Metro Golden Heart Institute , Rohini , New Delhi and Medical Director of Metro Khera Hospital and Heart Institute ,  Pandav Nagar,   New Delhi, India. Before these assignments, he was Professor of Cardiology at G.B. Pant Hospital ( University of Delhi) and MA Medical College , New Delhi till 1.10.2003 where he started his academic career as assistant professor in  October 1986. He has served as the President of the Faculty association of the G.B. Pant Hospital , President of Indian Academy of Echocardiography and as the President of Cardiological Society of India ( Delhi ) and Vice-President of the Cardiological Society of India . He has been a member of National Academy of Medical Sciences , New Delhi since 1989 , member of the American Society of Echocardiography since 1988 and  Fellow of Indian Academy of Echocardiography  and Fellow of Geriatric Society of India. He has been a long standing member of the Executive committee of the Cardiological Society of India. He has been the Editor of the Journal of Indian Academy of Echocardiography and the publisher of the Indian Heart Journal , an indexed journal of cardiovascular medicine. He has contributed >180 original research publications in indexed national and international journals. His major area of interest is valvular heart disease
muscle mechanics and heart failure.
